Meet me (poem)

As autumn takes its time to transform itself into its full splendor, I became self-reflective, and thankfully, another poem was born:

Meet me
I want to meet you
And feel like I’ve known you before
I want you to meet me in
The field where Autumn
Offers a blanket of leaves for
Us
To lay, under the tree where
You let me lay my head
On you. And I’ll look deep
Into your eyes, world winds
Whirlwind emotions spin
Abound
Dreams alive
And I’ll know that you were mine once before
In a past life where we
Were lovers, grown old together.
And the leaves shall fall around us.
And the sun will set
Kissing the day goodbye.
